Render
Web services, managed Postgres and cron jobs from a Git push, with per-instance pricing you can read.

Best for
Teams that want Heroku-style simplicity with real databases and predictable instance pricing.
Why it deserves attention
Render deploys from a repository with zero-downtime releases, preview environments per pull request and rollbacks, and covers the rest of a small stack: managed Postgres with point-in-time recovery, key-value stores, persistent disks, background workers, cron jobs and static sites that stay free. A render.yaml Blueprint keeps infrastructure in version control, logs and metrics are built in, and there is a CLI and API for automation. Newer features target agents: Sandboxes give each one an isolated computer, and Workflows orchestrate background work. The caveats: free instances spin down and cold-start, per-instance pricing adds up once you run several services, and the region and enterprise feature set is thinner than AWS or GCP.
