Reeder
A calm, native RSS reader for Mac and iPhone that also pulls in videos, podcasts and social feeds.

Best for
People who still believe in following blogs directly and want reading to feel like a place, not a feed.
Why it deserves attention
Reeder has been the reference Mac RSS client for over a decade: fast, keyboard-friendly, with a bionic reading mode, themes, a share sheet and iCloud sync between Mac and iPhone. Beyond plain RSS it offers Reeder Feed services — subscribe to YouTube channels, Reddit, Bluesky and Mastodon, and read them in the same interface — plus per-feed rules for how much of an article to show. It is a one-time purchase rather than a subscription, with separate Mac and iOS apps; the trade-off is that the sync service is Reeder's own, and advanced filters are lighter than enterprise news readers.
