Best for

Firefox users who want vertical tabs, split views, and per-workspace tab isolation without switching engines.

Why it deserves attention

Floorp builds on Firefox and adds vertical tabs, tab workspaces, split view, a customizable sidebar, mouse gestures, and CSS tweaks, while keeping Firefox extensions and Gecko compatibility. It is developed by a small Japanese team, is MPL-2.0 licensed, and runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux. It has no account requirement and includes privacy controls such as tracking protection and telemetry options. The trade-off is a smaller team than Mozilla: security updates can lag Firefox by a short window, some features interact awkwardly with extensions, and heavy customization can make support harder to find.
