Best for

Mac users who want uninstalling to be fun and thorough, not a manual crawl through Library folders.

Why it deserves attention

AppZapper 3000 is a ground-up rebuild of the 2006 uninstaller by its original team. Drag in an app and it finds caches, preferences, support files, and other leftovers, then lets you delete them with a 3D laser gun, one shot at a time or through Zap All. The new version adds several blaster themes, a classic livery, and native Apple silicon and Intel support on macOS 15.6 or later. You get three free zaps, then a single-user licence starts at $18, with a family pack for five Macs. It drew coverage from MacRumors, 9to5Mac, Daring Fireball, and Birchtree, and the 20-year brand is the main reason to pick it over free cleaners. The trade-off is functional overlap with Mole, Pearcleaner, and AppCleaner: the laser is delightful, but the actual cleanup job is familiar.
