VitalsUnderrated
An Activity Monitor replacement that groups resource use by app and agent.

Best for
Mac power users and developers who want to know which app, coding agent, or container is eating CPU, memory, and power.
Why it deserves attention
Vitals rolls processes up into apps, so instead of scanning a thousand rows you see which app is consuming CPU, memory, GPU, and battery. It adds a process inspector with code signature and parent chain, tracking for coding-agent sessions and AI usage limits, dev servers and ports, Docker containers, per-app volume, temperatures and fans, and up to a year of hourly history. It also ships a menu bar monitor, a CLI, and an MCP server that Claude, Codex, and Cursor can query. It is a one-time $15 license for macOS. The trade-off is that it is closed source and Mac-only, and some readouts depend on what macOS exposes.
