TCP ViewerUnderrated
A native Mac packet analyzer that uses Wireshark's dissectors without the full Wireshark workflow.

Best for
Developers debugging DNS, TCP, UDP, or TLS traffic who want a fast native Mac view.
Why it deserves attention
TCP Viewer captures live traffic with a native AppKit interface, then groups it by app, domain, and endpoint so busy captures are easier to read. It exports and reopens pcap or pcapng files, shows Wireshark-backed protocol details, supports structured filters, and includes an MCP server for agents. The app is GPL-2.0-or-later open source and built on PcapPlusPlus and libwireshark. The trade-off is that Wireshark still has broader protocol coverage and statistics, and TCP Viewer needs macOS 15 or later on Apple silicon.
