Setapp
One subscription for a curated catalogue of Mac and iPhone apps, from CleanShot X to Bartender.

Best for
Mac users who already pay for several utilities and would rather bundle them into one bill.
Why it deserves attention
Setapp curates hundreds of Mac and iOS apps and gives members the full versions under one subscription, with new titles added monthly and no in-app upsells. The catalogue covers the utilities most people end up buying anyway — CleanShot X, Bartender, Craft, Nitro PDF Pro, TextSniper — and a newer single-app subscription lets you pay for just one title without the full membership. Plans run $14.99/month for one Mac, $18.99 for Mac plus iOS and $22.99 for several Macs, yearly billing saves up to 40%, and a 7-day trial covers everything. The caveats: you rent rather than own, apps do leave the catalogue (with replacement suggestions), the iOS side is thinner than the Mac side, and once you depend on several member apps the subscription is hard to drop.
