Best for

People who download large files over BitTorrent and want a clean client they can also control from a browser.

Why it deserves attention

qBittorrent is a GPL-licensed BitTorrent client with a familiar desktop interface, no ads, and none of the bundled toolbars that plagued older clients. It covers magnet links, RSS with download rules, bandwidth scheduling, IP filtering, sequential downloading, encrypted connections, and a full web UI for remote control. It runs on macOS, Windows, and Linux, and has about 41,000 GitHub stars. The interface is functional rather than polished, and running it on a server for 24/7 seeding takes some setup; users who only download occasionally may prefer a simpler client.
