Best for

Mac users who keep switching tabs and apps just to check the same few things throughout the day.

Why it deserves attention

Peek opens a configurable overlay above whatever you are doing, even in full-screen spaces, and can show live web pages, local PDFs, Apple Calendar and Reminders widgets, App Store Connect metrics, GitHub pull requests, or analytics dashboards. You can arrange several panes freely, set layouts per display, auto-refresh on an interval, and hand content off to its default app. It is a free, polished, keyboard-first native macOS app that drew roughly 900 likes on its launch post. It is closed source and macOS-only, so there is no self-hosting or cross-platform story.
