SoftBestsMeetilyUnderrated
A privacy-first meeting note taker that transcribes on your own machine, with no bot joining the call.
Best for
People who take a lot of calls and do not want recordings or transcripts sent to another company.
Why it deserves attention
Meetily captures system audio and your microphone locally, transcribes with on-device Whisper or Parakeet models, separates speakers, and turns the result into summaries, decisions, and action items. It runs on macOS and Windows, needs no meeting bot, and can use local models or your own API key for summarization. It is MIT licensed with about 32,000 GitHub stars and active development, with a paid Pro edition for teams; the open-source app remains usable on its own. Transcription quality and speed depend on your hardware and model choice, and very long meetings need more memory.
