KOReaderUnderrated
A fast, highly customizable document viewer built for E Ink readers.

Best for
Kindle, Kobo, and PocketBook owners who want better PDF and EPUB rendering than the stock firmware offers.
Why it deserves attention
KOReader is an AGPL-3.0 viewer with more than 30,000 GitHub stars that runs on Kindle, Kobo, PocketBook, Android, and desktop Linux. It opens EPUB, PDF, DjVu, CBZ, FB2, MOBI, DOC, and more, and gives you real control over margins, line spacing, fonts, hyphenation, and the status bar. Highlights and notes export cleanly, dictionaries and Wikipedia lookup work offline or online, and Calibre can send books and news over the network. A plugin system adds things like progress sync and OPDS catalogs. The trade-off is installation: locked Kindle and Kobo devices usually need a jailbreak or patched firmware, the interface is dense, and there is no official macOS or Windows build.
