DawnUnderrated

A native reader and editor that turns the Markdown files your agents write into finished pages.

Best for

People who use Claude Code, Codex, or Cursor and want to read and edit the resulting Markdown without looking at raw syntax.

Why it deserves attention

Dawn watches a folder of plain Markdown files and renders each one as a typeset page while the file underneath stays Markdown. It connects to Claude Code, Codex, and Cursor, so when an agent writes or updates a file, Dawn opens the page beside the chat and updates it in place. Headings, tables, KaTeX, Mermaid, code blocks, frontmatter, CSV, JSON, and JSONL all get a readable view, and edits are written back to the same file with no export step. It needs no account or cloud sync, and the site says there is no analytics or telemetry beyond an update check. The Mac app is free and notarized; Windows is a preview, and the iOS app is a separate free reader and editor.
