Best for

Mac developers who need to run macOS 12+ releases and betas on Apple Silicon without another Mac.

Why it deserves attention

VirtualBuddy downloads Apple's IPSW images and walks through creating a macOS virtual machine, with support for macOS 12 and later, saved states, snapshots, custom disk and network settings, and shared clipboard. It is built with Apple's Virtualization framework, BSD-2 licensed, has about 8,900 GitHub stars, and ships frequent updates for new macOS betas. It targets macOS guests on Apple Silicon only; running Linux or Windows guests needs a different tool such as UTM or a fork.
