## Why it deserves attention

SuperCmd v2 is a full rewrite in Swift and AppKit, with a single native binary, about a 50 MB install, and roughly one third of Raycast's memory use. It covers app and file search, unlimited clipboard history, notes, snippets, window tiling, screenshots and annotation, on-device dictation, terminal commands, a window switcher, and AI chat or agents using Apple Intelligence, OpenAI, Anthropic, Gemini, OpenRouter, LM Studio, Ollama, or MLX. It runs most Raycast extensions and can import a Raycast backup, while keeping data local with no telemetry. The licence is $19.99 once for three Macs with lifetime updates and a 7-day trial, versus Raycast Pro at about $96 a year. It requires macOS 26 or later. The trade-off is a smaller extension ecosystem and no Windows build, so heavy Raycast team users should check their must-have extensions first.
