Reflect OpenUnderrated
Plain-file notes for Mac and iPhone: daily notes, wiki links, local search, and optional AI over your own Markdown.

Best for
People who want an Apple-native notes app that stores everything as Markdown they can read and sync themselves.
Why it deserves attention
Reflect Open opens to today's note and stores everything as a folder of Markdown files you choose, using [[wiki links]] to connect people, projects, and ideas with fast backlinks and local search. It does not require a Reflect account, and AI, transcription, and other services are optional and run over your own files. It is MIT licensed, has about 1,600 GitHub stars, ships Mac and iPhone apps, and is the open-source rewrite of Reflect's commercial product. It is early, so expect fewer polish features than a mature commercial notes app.
