Open WebUI
A self-hosted AI platform for models, agents, and team access.

Best for
Teams and homelab users who want one private interface for local and cloud models.
Why it deserves attention
Open WebUI runs as a single Docker service and connects to Ollama, LM Studio, and any OpenAI-compatible endpoint, adding chat history, RAG knowledge bases, tools and MCP servers, role-based access, and web search. Version 0.13 extends it into an agent workspace: with Open Terminal attached, a model can open desktop apps and test work in a shared browser while you watch or take over. The code is published under the Open WebUI License, which keeps the source open but adds branding and scale restrictions. The trade-off is that you host and upgrade it yourself, and major releases sometimes require a database migration, so back up first.
