## Best for

Mac users with lots of parallel projects who need a trusted system more than a pretty list.

## Why it deserves attention

OmniFocus follows David Allen's Getting Things Done model closely: inbox capture, projects with sequential or parallel actions, defer and due dates kept separate, contexts and tags, forecast views and built-in review cycles that force you to revisit stale projects. OmniFocus 4 modernised the interface and unified the Mac, iPhone, iPad and web apps, and the Pro tier adds custom perspectives and automation support. It is a one-time purchase with Standard and Pro tiers. The caveat is learning curve and price: it rewards deep setup, feels heavy to newcomers, and works best when you stay inside Apple's ecosystem.
