Manus
A general-purpose agent that takes a goal and works through long multi-step tasks on its own.

Best for
People who want research, slides, reports or a small site produced while they do something else.
Why it deserves attention
Manus works asynchronously: you give it a goal, it plans, browses, writes files, runs code and assembles the deliverable in its own sandbox, then hands back a result you can review and ask it to revise. It covers research reports, slide decks, websites, design, images, music and video, with a wide-research mode that fans out across many sources, plus Slack integration and API access for teams. It ships as a web app with desktop and mobile clients, and the free tier gives a small credit allowance before paid plans. The trade-offs: work happens in Manus's cloud rather than on your machine, credit consumption is hard to predict for big jobs, and output always needs checking before you send it to anyone.
