Little Snitch
A network monitor and application firewall that shows every outbound connection on your Mac.

Best for
Anyone who wants to see and approve which app talks to which server, and when.
Why it deserves attention
Little Snitch watches outgoing traffic and asks before an app connects anywhere new, with rules per process, host, port and time, plus profiles you can switch between work and home. Silent Mode can allow everything for a while and report later, and the network monitor gives a live map of current connections. It has been the reference tool on macOS for over twenty years and version 7 is in beta. It is commercial software with a free trial-only download, a licence covers the current and next major release, and the first day of prompts is genuinely noisy until your rules settle.
