## Best for

People whose menu bar is full of icons and who want control without buying a utility suite.

## Why it deserves attention

Ice splits the menu bar into visible, hidden, and always-hidden sections, then lets you drag items between them and reveal hidden ones with a click or hotkey. It also adds per-app rules, item spacing, and searchable layouts in a native app. It is GPL-3.0 with nearly 30,000 GitHub stars and active development. macOS 14 or later is required, and it needs Screen Recording and Accessibility permissions to manage other apps' icons.

## Can replace
