Ghostty
A fast, native terminal emulator with GPU rendering and almost no setup.

Best for
People who want a modern terminal that behaves like a native Mac or Linux app.
Why it deserves attention
Ghostty is built by Mitchell Hashimoto as a native terminal rather than an Electron shell: platform tabs, splits, menus, and font rendering come from the OS. GPU rendering keeps large outputs smooth, and the default configuration is deliberately quiet, so it works before you write a config file. The trade-off is a smaller feature surface than terminals with years of plugin ecosystems, and there is no official Windows build.
