Capacities
A note-taking studio where people, books, projects and meetings are typed objects, not folders.

Best for
People building a second brain who want structure without maintaining a folder tree.
Why it deserves attention
Capacities replaces folders with objects: you write a note and tag it as a Person, Book, Project, Meeting or your own type, and it gets properties, backlinks and a place in the graph. Daily notes, a calendar, tasks and an AI assistant sit on top, and everything is searchable from one box. It ships desktop apps for macOS and Windows, mobile apps and a web client, and the free plan is usable for personal notes; Pro adds AI, queries and calendar integration. The trade-off: it is a proprietary cloud service, exporting is per-object rather than a plain Markdown folder, and the object model is a habit change if you are used to files.
