## Best for

Teams that want a Notion-style workspace they can self-host and keep control of their data.

## Why it deserves attention

AppFlowy combines documents, kanban boards, grids, and calendars in one workspace, with a local-first data model and optional self-hosting. It is AGPL-3.0 with 78,000 GitHub stars and ships desktop, mobile, and web clients. The free version covers individual use; cloud plans and enterprise add collaboration and support. Its template ecosystem and advanced database formulas are smaller than Notion's, so complex setups may need adjustment.
